Movie Review: The Hunger Game MockingJay Part 2

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 is the sequel of The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 last year, 2014. Part 2 have recently aired in Malaysia.

Katniss just awake from her weakness death and recovering. She have team up with her friends to knock down President Snow in Capitol. Their team has been provided with Holo to track / detect every single movement / enemy / trap. She and team went to District 13 and trap inside the thrilling atmosphere. Where President Coin’s right man, Bogg died. Followed by other members ans the twin Leegs.

President Snow have offered all they refugees to moved to his palace to get protection, food and medicine. Katniss and Gale take this chance by following the refugees crowd to move to palace. However, halfway through, there were bomb parachutes and causes death. Gale has been caught. Katniss sister, Primrose have died and Katniss have injured. Her mom treated her.

After she recovered, she have a chance to meet President Snow in the private garden. “We both know I’m not above killing children, but I’m not wasteful. I take live for very specific reasons. And there was no reason for me to destroy a pen full of Capitol children; none at all.” ―Snow to Katniss after the fall of the Capitol.

Katniss has agreed to be in the Hunger Game. Which in this scene is so much predictable that she will kill President Coin instead of Snow. The ending was pretty awful with happy ending. Katnis and Peeta live happily with 2 kids. The momentum of this movie is a lil bit drastic to the happy ending which I was expecting for more thrill and suspense. It seems like cuts to the actual final sequence, which was completely unnecessary

The movie wraps well, but maybe a little too long. Overall, I would rate 3 over 5 stars. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” is rated PG-13 (Parents strongly cautioned). Apocalyptic violence. Running time: 2 hours 16 minutes.
